Project Overview:
- Redwood Builders handled the entire construction project from planning and council consent to the final finishing touches.
- Our extensive scope of work included earthworks, foundation construction, framing, the exterior cladding (interlocking cedar and corrugated iron), insulation, plasterboard, painting, flooring, kitchen installation, glass balustrades, outside decks and sleeper steps.
- As project managers, we also oversaw the engagement and coordination of necessary sub-trades.
Challenges:
- Overcoming the logistical challenges of building in such a remote region.
- Sourcing reliable sub-trades suited for the specific project requirements.
Highlights:
- Our use of timber and corrugated iron cladding created a unique and visually appealing exterior.
- Importing the timber flooring from America, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication.
- Ensuring the build maximised the breathtaking views of Castlepoint lighthouse to enhance the property’s overall ambience.
