Some kitchens just need new cabinetry, a better benchtop and modern appliances. Others need a wall removed, a window moved or the whole floor plan rethought so the kitchen opens onto the living and outdoor areas. Redwood Builders handle both. How a Redwood Builders kitchen renovation works

1. Consultation. We visit, look at the kitchen and the rooms around it, and talk through what is not working and what you would love it to be. You will get a realistic idea of cost at this stage.
2. Design and quote. We work with you, and your kitchen designer or architect if you have one, to settle the layout, cabinetry, benchtops, appliances and finishes, then give you a detailed fixed quote.
3. Consents. Moving a wall, a window or the plumbing can need a building consent. We tell you up front if it does and manage the process with Kapiti Coast District Council for you.
4. The build. We plan the work to keep your household running - a temporary kitchen where we can, agreed working hours, and a tidy site at the end of every day. Weekly updates keep you in the picture.
5. Handover. Every job finishes with our quality assurance checklist, then you get your kitchen back with the Master Build 10 year guarantee and our 12 month maintenance period behind it.

Kitchen extensions and open plan living

If the kitchen is too small to fix in place, we can extend it. Many Kapiti Coast homes built between the 1960s and 1990s have a boxed-in kitchen at the back of the house. Pushing that wall out a few metres, or opening the kitchen into the dining room, changes the way the whole home feels.
